Family and friends of John, both present and not at his funeral service
John (Dad) started to suffer with his kidney function whilst in his early nineties ultimately resulting in the function levels being dangerously low as he turned 93 in May this year (2021). A quite invasive procedure was offered which sadly he made the decision to refuse. John passed away on 30th May. As his next of kin it was a very easy decision for me to make to donate half of the funeral donations to Kidney Research UK, also due to the fact a very close family friend had had a kidney donated by his sister several years ago so I know Dad would wholly approve.
